AARAMBH, the annual social marathon organized in Mumbai by the Social Responsibility Forum (SRF), is scheduled to take place on 10th February, 2019 this year. To be flagged off at 7 a.m. from Bandstand, Bandra, the 10th edition of this 5-km marathon is expected to draw a large number of participants keen on running for a cause – Child Sexual Abuse.
SRF, an initiative of the Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce, NMIMS University, organizes a series of events every year with the aim of addressing social problems. SRF believes in coming up with solutions to eradicate such problems, in keeping with its motto of ‘Dream. Believe. Achieve’. Events held by SRF are crafted with passion and precision to invoke a sense of social responsibility among the participants.
This year SRF has collaborated with ‘Arpan – Towards Freedom from Child Sexual Abuse’, the largest NGO addressing the phenomenon of CSA in the country. Since its inception in 2006, Arpan has directly touched the lives of over 200,000 children and adults through healing and training programs. Through their partnerships, they have reached out to over 880,000 children and adults.
Organized this year in collaboration with BioSpectrum, AARAMBH ’19 is expected to create awareness about a particularly heinous social problem.
