A young and inspired team comes together to create an illustrated version of the Mahabharata for today’s children

One of the oldest and greatest epics in the world, the Mahabharata has been retold innumerable times over the ages. The latest version is ‘The Mahabharata: Illustrated Classics for Children’, a brightly illustrated series of ten books that unravel the epic with simplicity, bringing to a young reader a glimpse of the famous epic without losing any of its essences, magic, and power. The simplified and engaging narrative has been retold by Charu Agarwal Dhandia, keeping in mind the sensibilities of a child. Kavita Singh Kale has created beautiful and attractive illustrations for one of its kind visual experience for children and adults. Designer Rachita Rakyan has seamlessly brought the writing and illustrations together.

The two-year-long journey has been exciting for all involved in creating the series. The process involved constant collaboration between the writer, the illustrator, and the graphic designer, who sat through hours of brainstorming and discussions to bring it all together.

For children in this digital age, the series of books will definitely provide answers in a unique and interesting way!
